Workshop : Introduction to EJB3
On the 31st of May 2006 an introduction 2 hour workshop will be held. The goal of this workshop is to create a general awareness and conceptual understanding of EJB3.

If you would like to bring your laptop along to experiment with the technology please feel free to do so. There should be time after the presentation to explorer some of the new technology in more detail.

The upcoming release of the J2EE framework, in particular the newly designed EJB3 specification are the most significant change. With it's introduction several powerful new features have been added to enable developers to producte quality products.
It aims to ease the transition towards EJB3 with the use of practical examples of the many new features provided. The goal is to create awareness of the new feature as well as providing examples of their application, highlighting potential pitfalls. Very often the workshop will take the form of an open discussion and input from the participants is welcome.
The workshop is held in Wallingford at Centre 70, (or alternative venue in South Oxfordshire).

This workshop is targeted for Java and J2EE developers who are keen on keeping up with current trends and new techniques. With particular emphasis on business developers who are keen on bridging the gap and adopting the new standard quickly.

Pre-Requisites
Anybody attending this workshop should have a solid understanding of the Java language as well as a basic understanding of J2EE.
Workshop Format
During each session a particular topic is presented using complete examples to illustrate particular aspects. Source code as well as development environments are provided to allow participants to familiarise themselves and experiment.

This workshop covers 9 evening session held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for a period of 3 weeks. The cost to attend this workshop is £500-00 or £350-00 if you provide your own workstation. The workshop starts at 18:00 and runs until 21:00.
